something to commemorate that I finally finished playing Yume Nikki. I really love old school style games but this one gave me a really hard time to beat it ( I was like one month lost in the dream world ).
I believe it's in reference to a Yume Nikki fan video interpretation of what's actually happening in the real world as Madotsuki stays in her apartment. The whole world is a being horribly terriformed by an alien virus. At the point in the story where she jumps, in the video it shows that she's beginning to become mutated like other people, and rather than face what she will eventually become, she jumps to end it all. Really heart wrenching interpretation of what Yume Nikki's story might be.
Yume Nikki is an old horror rpg for pc it involves a young girl (who is a hikikomori)called Madotsuki going to sleep and travelling through her nightmares looking for 25 'effects' to save the game you write in the diary, hence, yume nikki - dream diary
Great, now I've got a fucking sinking feeling in my stomach and it won't go away. I just read about the game and the ending, it's sounds like a really beautiful game but now that you cross it over with pinkie is really pissing me off because she's supposed to be the happy, bubbly and energetic pony!
I'm sorry if your offended but I absolutely cannot get the feeling out of my stomach, and it's really annoying!
OHGODYESYUMENIKKI. Ohgosh, the ending is... Emotional, which is strange since there's no dialogue or anything. But I do suppose the ingenuousness of this game is that you learn about Madotsuki and get to know her solely trough exploring her dreams. Just amazing really, although this game certainly isn't for everyone. I still need to beat this myself! Good choice with Pinkie as Madotsuki, it fits quite well and the class clowns does tend to be the one with a greater sadness within.
I wonder, will you try playing trough .flow as well? It's inspired by Yume Nikki, but with (From what I've seen of it at least) much more scary things in it. Also, I hope you encountered Face and Uboa.
